I like methods that reveal structure: clusters, network positions, latent dimensions, regressions and models that preserve the complexity of social phenomena without turning them into unreadable machinery.
I’m Marjan Cugmas — statistician, researcher and university teacher. I work at the intersection of statistical methodology and social science, with a particular weakness for networks, clusters, models and charts that make a complicated idea suddenly click.

I teach statistics at the University of Ljubljana and spend a suspicious amount of time thinking about how to make difficult ideas visually obvious rather than merely technically correct.
R packages, dashboards, automatically generated reports, slides, tattoo sketches, tiny web experiments and photo archives. I like analysis most when it becomes something tangible.
My work revolves around the structure behind data: how observations group together, how people are connected, how systems change through time, and how statistical methods can help us ask better questions about those patterns.
